Outline:

1) Install Perl 5.004_01 or later.

# perl -v

This is perl, version 5.004_04 built for sun4-solaris

This was the same exact copy I used when I originally installed orca
26beta1.

I see sunfreeware.com has 5.6.1, hopefully I won't have to add a lot
of modules to use it.
