[Orca-dev] Has anybody used PCP?

I don't mean the drug, but SGI's Performance Co-Pilot at

I'm thinking it would be a good way to get an OS data measuring tool into
Orca on Linux, but it doesn't run on Solaris, as far as I can tell.

I would also consider libgtop, but the mailing list

has been really quiet and the last release was in Feb 16, 2000:

Is there a libgtop replacement?

Are there any tools to do OS independent data measuring or is SNMP the best
bet?
