Pieter, I'm not sure if this has been answered already (I get the digest
version) but I have renamed my copy of orca to orca.real and wrote a
wrapper script that sets the number of open filehandles to 256 (ulimit
-n 256) then it calls the real orca.  This solves the "Too many open
files" problem.
