so the answer was that start_orcallator sends the output of
orcallator.se to "$orcallator_DIR/HOSTNAME" however the find_files
line in the .cfg file /usr/local/var/orca/orcallator/(.*)/ was not
globbing the "hostname/se_output_file"

once i changed the find_file
to /usr/local/var/orca/orcallator/MyHostname(.*)/
every thing worked fine.
