[Orca-users] On-Demand PNG

Has anyone done in testing/research into how much time or CPU utilization
would be saved by doing on-demand png generation? An idea has been
presented to me to generate rrd constantly, but only generate png when
someone actually request graph through cgi script. I believe this would
require major rewrite of code and generate some slow graph generation, but
am curious if anyone has any insight into this.

There is concern that I am "pegging" my systems too much. I maintain
about 90% utilization on my orca server. I did this on purpose.

I continue to like the idea of generating rrd data on the client end with
SE process and am hopeful that I, or someone else, will find the time to
make that happen someday.
