[Orca-users] network device aggregation, Solaris, Orca

Leo,

We have the aggregate defined and working. Nice increase in
throughput.

You are right, Orca is not reporting it - neither the aggregate nor the
members of the aggregate.

I looked at orcallater.cfg but in my case SEToolkit
(/opt/csw/lib/orca/orcallator.se?) is not collecting the stats:

grep appr
/var/opt/csw/orca/orcallator/$HOSTNAME/orcallator-2010-09-01-000

returns nothing.

According to http://freshmeat.net/projects/setoolkit the most recent
change (05 Aug 2008) should have provided for aggr along with e1000g
(this one does work) and others.

Thanks for the info.

have a good day,
Glen

aggregate or separate interfaces once the aggregate is created.

I suspect that there are changes that can be made to orcallater.cfg,
but I haven’t pursued anything and don’t have the bandwidth anyway.

Subject: [Orca-users] network device aggregation, Solaris, Orca

I'm preparing to aggregate two (maybe three) network ports on a X4500
running Solaris 10 (it's a NetBackup master). These are e1000g nics.

Do I need to make any changes to orcallator.cfg?

Will orca continue reporting on the individual network interfaces or
will it report on the aggregate - aggr1?

Thanks for any insight,
