What do you want to monitor - CPU utilisation, tablespace sizes,
extents, users logged in, shadow processes?

I don't collect orca stats on our Oracle instances, but I do use a Big
Brother extension script to monitor several things.  Have a look at
bb-moracle.sh and similar scripts on www.deadcat.net as a starting
point.  The script I use collects any of the above by logging into the
instance as a user with only read privileges to system stuff.  It then
alerts when threshholds are exceeded.
