Hi Oliver,

I had the same problem with a Solaris 8, I ended up commenting the
parameter #define USE_RAWDISK in the orcallator.se

I believe the problem is with the number of disks you have. Maybe
Blair can shed a bit of light on this. I hope it will be fixed in the next
release.

        Thanks

Objet : [Orca-users] setoolkit on solaris 8

Hallo Orca users,

i`ll try to run setoolkit on solaris 8 with orcallator.se:

export PATH=$PATH:/opt/RICHPse/bin
export
SEPATH=/opt/RICHPse/examples:/opt/RICHPse/toptool:/opt/RICHPse/orcallator

se -DWATCH_OS -DWATCH_WEB orcallator.se 10 &

after 5 secs i get:

root at bridge19:/opt/RICHPse#
[1]+ Segmentation Fault se -DWATCH_OS -DWATCH_WEB orcallator.se 10
root at bridge19:/opt/RICHPse#

setoolkit is running zoom.se without any probs.

a truss gives the following output:
... 1000 lines ...

ioctl(8, KSTAT_IOC_READ, "") = 16001
ioctl(8, KSTAT_IOC_READ, "ssd0") = 16001
ioctl(8, KSTAT_IOC_READ, "ssd1") = 16001
ioctl(8, KSTAT_IOC_READ, "sd6") = 16001

ioctl(8, KSTAT_IOC_READ, "1/md100") = 16001
close(8) = 0

        *** process killed ***

we have a SUN T3 Storage via FCAL connected to maschine with vxfs
and the maschine is running with SUN Cluster 3.0 Software.

Does anybody have an idea to fix this? Maybe a specific patch?

regards

Oliver Walter
