You should include more context in the data, I would say.  The first 
datapoint, 12:20, looks like it's already in the "absent" section of the 
graph.  Also, it would be useful to verify the columnal alignment of 
previous datapoints, corresponding to the valid and invalid sections of 
the graph.

If you send me your datafile, I'll take a look and see if I can acertain 
anything.  Bzip it, if you would, before sending it (to avoid any 
inadvertent translation of special characters by your mail client, such 
as tabs or end-of-lines).
